Teachers, parents and children were delighted with the Art Exhibition. Pictures were displayed is such a way that no comparisons could be made between similar pictures. As a result all parents were proud of their children's work.
The service from Images was very friendly and efficent.

1. Use lots of colour.
Blank paper in a frame makes the picture look unfinished. Applying a colourwash first or filling in blank areas at the end can transform the finished effect.2 Sign the picture.
An artist's signature in the body of the picture adds hugely to the personal nature of the work. In twenty or thirty years time the signature will be as important to the artist as the painting itself. Don't worry if the child's signature is only a scrawl. That is part of the charm and the parents will love it!!3 Keep it Simple.
A simple theme well executed is much more effective in a frame than a complicated idea that is beyond the competence of the artist to carry off.4 Teacher Input.
Teacher's input is very important especially during the planning stage. By helping with theme selection and organising a couple of "dry runs" you can ensure a great result.5 Pastels are great.
If you have any childen that might struggle with paint then chalk pastels are a great substitute. Hand on heart, I have never seen a picture done in pastels that looked bad in a frame.6 Existing Work.
If you have already got some great art in your classroom then simply attach it to the Images art paper. There is no need to re-invent the wheel.Images Art Gallery has lots of sample ideas to give you inspiration. You can also project these on to your whiteboard to give the children some ideas.
